Veterans Day occurs on November 11 every year in the United States in honor of the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918, which signaled the end of World War I. Unlike Memorial Day, Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans – living or dead – but especially gives thanks to living veterans who served their country honorably during war or peacetime.
