Accessibility and Guest Experience

The average visitor spends approximately two hours at The Florida Aquarium.

For the safety of our guests, staff and animals, no weapons of any kind (includes firearm, pocket knives, pepper spray, etc.) are allowed on campus. Security cameras are placed in strategic areas throughout the campus. Guests are not allowed to carry concealed or displayed firearms on Aquarium property. Police, in clearly identifiable uniforms, are allowed to carry and display firearms on Aquarium property. If “concealed” firearms are observed, please notify a Security or Guest Services staff member.

The Florida Aquarium (Aquarium) is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests. Avoid foul, abusive or obscene language or gestures. Please drink responsibly. Consumption of alcohol by impaired, intoxicated or underage guests will be handled in a prompt and safe manner. Clothing considered to be indecent, obscene or offensive in nature and/or that detracts from our family-friendly atmosphere will not be tolerated. Costumes are not allowed except if previously authorized by management. Follow staff directions in case of emergency.

No, masks are optional.

Service animals are always welcome at The Florida Aquarium. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a “service animal” as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Service animals must be harnessed and under the owner’s control at all times. Restrictions may apply when required by stringent animal care regulations, pursuant to animals in the Aquarium’s care. If you have additional questions or comments regarding our service animal policy, please contact (813) 273-4000 or email moreinfo@flaquarium.org
